 What is the Housing Last Initiative?

Housing Last is exactly what it sounds like. Housing should be a choice an individual makes based off of their quality of life, the job of any good society should be to provide every individual the mechanisms and tools necessary to achieve the highest quality of life possible for what that individual's personal pursuit to happiness is. If we as a society have failed in providing the proper access to the tools and mechanisms that increase an individuals quality of life then we should recognize our mistakes and take steps to provide that individual with a second chance, regardless of age, nationality, disability, color, sexual orientation, or any other prejudice created by our society.
